In the local Burushaski language, Rakaposhi means the “Shining Wall”. Being the most famous peak of the Hunza region, the Rakaposhi trek offers an amazing view of spiraling mountains, lush forests and scenic grandeur. It starts from the Diran guest house located in the Minnapin Village and passes through forests and goes up to Taghpari (Rakaposhi Base Camp). This trek is recommended for beginners though it can get a bit taxing in the beginning. Some of the famous viewpoints that you can see on this trek include the Rakaposhi Mountain, the Diran ridge and the famous Askoreshung.
